Suzuki redefined four-stroke engine technology with the introduction of the IMTEC Innovation Award winning 40 & 50 horsepower Electronic Fuel Injected 4 Strokes in 1998. Suzuki has expanded their 4 stroke line up, offering outboards from 4 - 300 horsepower. All Suzuki engines carry a standard 3 year limited warranty, with an option to extend for an addition 3 years. - Honda's world renowned engine technology makes these outboard motors one of a kind. Their large displacements deliver plenty of torque and power for big engine performance. Honda 8 through 15 models feature an overhead cam (OHC) configuration for even more efficient engine operation. From an economy side, four stroke engines mean extremely high fuel economy and virtually no oil consumption for reduced operating costs.
- Honda four stroke outboard motors practically eliminate the experience of fouled spark plugs and engine stalls, even at constant trolling speeds, thanks to the precise gasoline combustion and efficient intake and exhaust of their world renowned Honda 4-stroke engines. Straight gasoline combustion eliminates the smoke and oil discharge common to oil burning 2-stroke outboards, and high combustion efficiency means most pollutant filled exhaust gasses are kept from the air and water streams.
- All Honda 4-stroke outboard motors, 2, 5, 8, 9.9, 15, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75, 90, 115,130,220 & 225 HP are now EPA certified to the year 2006.
- All Honda 4-stroke outboard motors are attractively coated with a tough, newly-developed, multi-layer exterior treatment for rust and corrosion protection and a long life.
- A neutral start system on all but the Honda 2 model effectively protects against sudden movement when starting the engine, and a reverse lock mechanism prevents dangerous engine kick-back on all models. All controls are positioned right at your fingertips for smooth, effortless operation. A propeller boss exhaust system smoothly and efficiently draws engine exhaust out around the propeller shaft and through the propellers boss for a big boost in overall performance. Propulsion is increased especially at high speeds and engine exhaust noise is muffled under the water. (Honda 9.9, 15, and 25 models only).
